This is the first official shoot of the Fall season. The weather was perfection, just like this wonderful family. 3 month old's are a little tricky, so we didn't waste any time. Jacob let us know the minute he was over this photo shoot. I think he did very well!

Birmingham Alabama Senior Portraits

Meet Heather. Isn't she beautiful? This Fall, she will be a senior and she's kicking it off with a rockin' senior session. I've known Heather since she was about 5 years old. I know, I'm old.

The B-Sides of 2009 Part II

Sometimes I love when a kid will just walks away from pure boredom. Don't you wish this was socially acceptable for adults? I know the third one isn't really a bored kid, but I thought it was really funny to see her look right past my lens to find me.

In non-b side news. I've been very busy getting our Christmas gifts together. I wish that I could show you what I've been up to, but the surprise would be ruined. But, I will say that lots of hours have been spent hunched over my kitchen table. Kent hates all the mess I've made. I love it!

Stay tuned for the final group of B-sides. I'm kicking 2010 off with a bang of a shoot! Can't wait to show you.

Elizabeth & Lilly

If you were to watch one of our sessions, you may think to yourself, "That girl is just running around like a crazy person." You'd be half right. I do run around a lot on shoots, but it is on purpose.

Children+sitting still=never going to happen.

I've accepted this reality. Elizabeth & Lilly were wonderful. They kept me on my toes and were beautiful to photograph.

If I'm shooting a session with you soon, wear your tennis shoes!

Belated

Apparently, I missed this ol' blogs 1st birthday. Shame on me. But, I share with you a little eye candy to ease the pain! The CBM blog has seen a few changes in the past year. The face has been lifted more times than a Hollywood cougar. What can I say, I get a little antsy.

That has certainly broadened the readership. I can only hope and pray that keeps growing as well as the many little faces you see on this blog.

Maintaining this blog has also introduced me to the world of blog stalking. And let me tell ya, I'm a stalker! Check out the daily reads at the bottom of the page. Unfortunately, that's just the tip of the iceberg.

So Happy belated 1st birthday blog. I need a cupcake.

Julia & Griffin

What do swarms of mosquitoes, blue bubble gum, snake (possibly) infested waters & bright red balloons have in common? This shoot! I know, only half of those things sound appealing, but oh the things you do to get "the shot."

This is Julia & Griffin. The first thing you notice about these two....those eyes! Can you believe those things? I had a blast with these two. They kept me on my toes and forced a speedy re- acquaintance with Simon Says.
