This weekend was full of Lowes trips and paint, paint, paint. We're planning on some much anticipated home improvements. Kent and I will be welcoming my Dad on his first visit to our humble abode next week. My Dad can pretty much do anything you throw at him, so we thought we'd take advantage of his mad skills (we have limited skills). Before he arrives, we thought we'd get started on things we actually could do.

I knew I wanted a do-over on our guest bedroom. When we first moved into our house, I wanted everything to be done yesterday. I'm an instant gratification kind of gal. So, when I saw this:

I couldn't get in there fast enough to change it. Baby nursery....no thank you. My first instinct was to make a copy of my college bedroom. Besides, that's pretty much all the furniture and decor I had at the time. So I painted the room this color:

Eh. Not feeling it, at all. A year or so goes by with MANY failed attempts to convince Kent to let me change it once again. I guess he finally got tired of my complaining and caved. I love him! Guys, I'm so excited to show you the results of our labor. Come back tomorrow for the after...
